Our Team

Rasekele Attorneys Inc. is led by Marius Rasekele, an Admitted Attorney and Conveyancer of the High Court of South Africa, with a strong background in property law, conveyancing and property transactions.
Before establishing Rasekele Attorneys Inc., Marius worked at a well-established property law firm in Sandton, Johannesburg, where he specialised in property law and gained experience in a wide range of residential and commercial property transactions.
His experience includes the sale and transfer of residential properties, large commercial buildings and shopping centres, including transactions involving properties valued at more than R100 million and transactions requiring permission by the Competition Commission.
His experience extends beyond the transfer of property. He has dealt with legal issues arising during and after property sales and transfer, including the interpretation and enforceability of sale agreements, disputes regarding the terms of property transactions, and post-sale disputes relating to patent and latent defects and voetstoots clauses.
He has also been involved in the negotiation, litigation and settlement of property disputes, including but not limited to disputes between body corporates and sectional title owners, buyers and sellers, and property owners and estate agents. His experience includes disputes concerning estate agent commissions, particularly whether an estate agent was the effective cause of a transaction, as well as other property-related contractual and legal disputes.
Marius’ understanding of property extends beyond his legal practice. He is also a property investor and landlord, with practical experience in managing his own property portfolio and tenants.
He is well-versed in identifying and assessing investment properties, negotiating purchase prices and sale agreement terms, sourcing and vetting tenants, drafting lease agreements, collecting rental payments, managing tenants and dealing with landlord-tenant disputes.
His practical experience in property investment gives him an understanding of property transactions from both the legal perspective and the perspective of a property owner and investor.
His broader legal experience includes CSOS matters, deceased estates, commercial and residential evictions, debt collection, civil litigation, commercial law, contractual disputes and the drafting and review of agreements.
At the centre of his practice, however, remains a strong commitment to property law and conveyancing, and to helping clients navigate property transactions with confidence, care and precision.
Marius is supported in the running of the practice by his professional support staff.
